Tuner
In addition to conventional tuning, the VC-12SV
lets you perform silent tuning (i.e., without
producing sound), which is a necessity during a
live performance.
Tuning procedure
1. When you want to tune your instrument,
press the TUNER switch.
The BANK display will indicate .
If you want to use silent tuning, hold down the
TUNER switch for one second.

2. Tune your instrument while watching the
TUNER LEDs.
When you play your connected guitar, the
TUNER LEDs will light, and the BANK display
will indicate the name of the closest note.
Tune the string so that the center LED is lit.

3. Press the TUNER switch to return to the
previous mode.
About Manual mode
When the connected device is in Manual mode,
the VC-12SV’s BANK display will indicate the
following.
If the connected device is in Manual mode, you
won’t be able to use the VC-12SV’s BANK UP/
DOWN switches, but all other operations will
work just as in Effect On/Off mode.
You’ll be able to perform the following operations
on the VC-12SV.
• Use foot switches [1]–[4] to turn the effects
specified by the program on or off
• Use the TAP switch to change the delay setting,
etc.
• Use the volume pedal or expression pedal
• Use the tuner
To select a program while in Manual mode, you’ll
need to operate the connected device directly.
If you want to select programs from the VC-12SV,
you must exit Manual mode on the connected
device before you operate the VC-12SV.
